- And somehow manages to produce some of the most amusical crap I have ever heard
- come out of my speakers....

- : Did I understand ? No player, even ChamPlay is able to play the modules of

- Apparently iMuse generates the music on the fly... That way its supposed to
- make the music interesting and non-repetitive... Unfortunately, it sounds
- IMHO like it was designed for 8 voices or so, and is cutting out 4 of them to
- play on the Amy....
-
- Another thing about iMuse, and this is most noticeable on Indiana Jones IV...
- Apparently iMuse sucks up tons of processor time to calculate the... um...
- well,... noise (not music)... You know how playing music in most games
- takes virtually no overhead (CPU wise) and is the least concern? Well, if you
- load up IJ4, and move the pointer around before the music starts, it moves
- quickly... then the music starts and I swear I thought I was using a Mac...
- that damn pointer was jumping around so much.... If only there was a way to
- turn off the music system, the scene in algeria (I think that's the place...
- its the one w/the knife thrower) might be playable on my 68000.... Why don't
- big companies take a look at, say, Hook and see that it is possible to have
- games like that run _quickly_ and _playably_ on a 68000 w/good graphics and
- animation? (If I ever saw a swinging door in a Sierra game or LucasArts game,
- with the same framerate etc, I would fall off my chair....)
