- I'm not quite sure what happened to the "chart" thing that was supposed
- to be attempted here, so unless someone objects, I'm going to take it
- upon myself to do it...but in a slightly different fashion (as if I can
- actually recall what format it was planned to be in anyway).
-
- Reducing it to just the two most important categories, MOD and AUTHOR, I
- think is a good start. Keeps things streamlined and to the point.
- Insofar as a prescribed method of voting, I'd like to set it up as sort
- of a top 10 list of each (voters, of course, can have a shorter list if
- they wish) whereby you can distribute 100
- points/chits/beans/jujubes/coins/floats/etc. however you like.
-
- I think this method will yield a more representative result since I know
- that I would find it very difficult to decide, with any conviction, a
- single choice in either category.
-
- A note about MOD names: In order to keep things as accurate as possible,
- all MODs MUST be listed by the name that is in the body of the MOD itself
- (and, optionally, whatever name it was archived under if that name is
- distinctly different -- something that annoys the hell outta me, by the
- way). I realize MEDs might present a problem as many do not have names
- present, so under that circumstance, the archive name will have to
- suffice. I don't anticipate too much problem in either case, but it
- helps to lay a guideline to minimize it.
-
- Also, to make collating this stuff easier, please use this handy dandy
- form for creating your lists (obviously the MOD list at the top, the
- author list at the bottom):

- Add any extraneous information in a note below the "form" and I'll
- include it (if appropriate/necessary) when posting the results.
-
- If you have the site name/address where the MODs you vote for can be
- found, supply it/them. Since I have a lot of MODs I like that I never
- see on sites, and I'm sure I'm not unique in that aspect, it would be
- ridiculous to make it a requisite criterion for voting. If they're
- available there are ways to findem if you wannem.
-
- Okay peoples, shall we have a go at it? This'll only be
- useful/interesting if there's a decent amount of response, so participate
- and make it so!
-
- This post will have been put on the net on 12/12. Those interested may
- send me their votes at their earliest convenience. I think a closing
- deadline for collection of said votes on 12/24 would be about right.
- Plenty of time for the occasionals to get a chance to speak their mind.
- Sometime shortly after Xmas I will post the results in this conference.
-
- Oh, and as per typical practices, you may not vote for yourself or MODs
- created by you. THAT should be up to others. :)
