- With an ARM2 and certain modes, accessing the hard disk would blank the screen.
- Since the memory bandwidth is tight on certain 256 colour modes, RISC OS drops
- the video in favour of data from disk.

- With an ARM3 the situation is still possible - after all your main memory is
- running at 8MHz (I assume you've got an ARM3 upgrade?), and it's still possible
- to have tight bandwidths!
