- At a guess I would blame the limited palette on the Archie - 256 colours by
- 16 tints = 4096 "shades" isn't all that cool - especially as quite a few
- DOS machines now have reasonable graphics cards (around 256,000 colours is
- quite common).

- Why not try to get hold of !Creator - that can create GIF, PBM, TIFF files
- - not sure of the current version.
