-
- This is correct but unfortunately the ProTracker SWIs are not so easy to
- use. This is because the ProTracker play module was designed to serve
- !ProTrack only.

- Gil just returned from his four month stage in Canada. However it could
- take a few days (weeks ?) before he can reply because he is now taking his
- vacation (read : 15 hour/day Archimedes programming :-)).
-
- There is another solution for the MOD player problem : in the 'Digital
- Symphony' package there is a FreeWare Symphony player (as a little module)
- which can be used by other programs. All the SWIs of DSymphonyPlayer (that's
- the name of the module) are documented. It is especially designed to be used
- in demo's and games.
-
- It has several features like :
-
- (*) No need to load the MOD in RMA (although if you want, it is possible)
- (*) Complete control on the MOD : you can read/write the current position,
- sequence, effect, etc.
- (*) You can issue your own sound commands on a particular channel with a
- particular effect.
- (*) You can register your own routines which will be called when the
- 'UpCall' effect has been 'played'. So ex. animations can be
- synchronised with the music.
-
- (*) And lots of other Useful Things(tm)...
-
- A few days ago I finished a desktop front-end (called 'ProTracker Junior')
- for the DSymphonyPlayer module. If there is interest, I will send a copy
- to Newcastle. It is an economical version of 'ProTracker'. We're
- *thinking* to make a 'ProTracker Senior' version which would have the
- same or even more facilities as 'ProTracker' has.
-
- >Is Digital Symphony is the promised commercial version of !ProTracker?
-
- Yes, it is. Feel free to e-mail me for more info (before I'm getting
- flamed for plugging our software...)
