- Hello,
-
- I just recieved an AT&T UNIX PC from a friend who had no idea what
- the machine was. It quit working on him so I craftly removed it from
- him for $10 and replaced the HD for $50. I don't have any system files
- yet (I'm pretty sure that I'm getting them from another friend who works
- in a computer lab at school), but I know that it works just fine (did manage
- to swipe a diagnostic disk and it tested great). As I was cleaning it I
- noticed that it had the IBM coprocessor board and 512 of memory on an
- extra board. I have no idea what model it is. It was made in 85. It had
- a 20MB miniscribe, green monitor that is attached to the top, one floppy
- on the right, anf the slots are underneath. There are no on board memory
- expansion slots. Can anyone match the model type and let me know?!
- Also, I'm familiar with UNIX and I have seen the UPC in action, but
- I've never see the IBM board. How do i access it? Do I need any software
- to run it (besides probably dos 3.1 or less)?
- To sum up, I need HELP! If anyone can help with any aspect, such as
- setting up, tips, tricks, place to get manuals (for cheap!!), system
- disks, etc I'd be in debt to you.
-
- Thanks a million for your time
