  27. SVIDR4 may be a superset of POSIX.1(I am not sure that V.4 will pass
  28. FIPS PCTS as it comes out of the box from USL) but V.4 is not
  29. conformant to POSIX.(2,4...) Various other vendors with propritary OS's
  30. are POSIX compatable without being at all compatable with SVID.

  32. So it is unadvisable to concider SVID and POSIX to be the same.
