- SVIDR4 may be a superset of POSIX.1(I am not sure that V.4 will pass
- FIPS PCTS as it comes out of the box from USL) but V.4 is not
- conformant to POSIX.(2,4...) Various other vendors with propritary OS's
- are POSIX compatable without being at all compatable with SVID.

- So it is unadvisable to concider SVID and POSIX to be the same.
