  25. Seriously it is not a good idea to break existing things.  It's bad karma
  26. and all that (I can say "bad karma" now that I live in California ... ).

  28. Please, don't "just send 8" .. this has been hashed around on the IETF-SMTP
  29. mailing list many times and there are occasions where it will break.  For
  30. instance if a character happens to look like `.' when you strip it down
  31. to 7 bits ..

  34. and that's unacceptable.
