- Does anyone know of software that allows scanned images of sheet music
- to be edited and played? That is, the software would read in the scanned
- image, convert it into an internal data format, then allow manipulation
- of the data structure. The program would then use that data structure for
- all future modifications, viewing, printing, and playing the music. I
- am interested in either public domain or commercial software.
-
- I would like this software because I currently have a large number of music
- books that I would like to consolidate into one large book. I want to
- scan in all the pages, convert the format/size of the music into a standard
- sizes, and print out a sorted manual of all my music. In addition, I would
- like to be able to write my own music to add to the manual. Finally, it
- would be nice to be able to hear the difficult pieces before I try to
- play them.
