  12. A colleague of mine has a sabbatical year coming up (June 1993) and
  13. is investigating postgraduate study (Masters level) in the USA.  His
  14. major interests are in Software Engineering, with particular enthusiasm
  15. for high-level development tools and environments.

  17. He asked me to recommend some good USA programmes, but I realise that
  18. I have lost touch over the past three years.  Could members of this 
  19. group please suggest some excellent grad schools he could contact and 
  20. provide any information about their programmes that might help.

  22. Since his year has been almost fully sponsored in advance, cost is not a 
  23. major factor in choosing a good school.  He also has a very solid academic 
  24. record so will almost certainly be accepted by most good schools.
