- I'm exploring the concept of using our aging campus mainframe to
- do network backups of the campus UNIX & PC boxes......
- our thoughts are that we would solicit from the individual users
- on each machine which directories were more valuable than others
- and then we would custom taylor the program to do the work during
- the wee hours of twilight via ftp. Letting the users make the
- choices seems the best way to aviod issues of privacy, where they
- are given the opportunity to disclose the data they want kept
- up to date and the secret stuff would have to be their own responsibility!
