- There are, of course, lots of ways Microsoft could provide anonymous ftp
- access. One solution Microsoft could implement TODAY is to use an OS/2
- based LanMan server, install IBM TCP/IP on it, and allow the internet ftp
- access to this machine. I currently do this on our LanMan server,
- "lanman.gatech.edu", and I couldn't be happier with it. It may be
- considered "embarrassing" or "politically incorrect" to use IBM software
- on a Microsoft machine but to me that is one of the beauties of LanMan.
- You can mix and match software to meet your needs. This is a real good
- demonstration of that.
-
- BTW, I keep a lot of handy LanMan utilities and other LanMan related stuff
- on "lanman.gatech.edu" and "comlab.gatech.edu".
