- I have version 2.11 of FTP Software's PC/TCP software which is supposed
- to be more Windows friendly than previous versions, and for the most part
- seems to be too.
-
- In Windows I'm able to open a DOS window and run tnvt, ftp, finger, etc
- (and can run wtnvt and wftp from Windows) to connect to an NNTP server.
-
- If I run Trumpet, with the shim to make it work with FTP Software's software,
- outside of Windows everything works fine. If I run Trumpet from a DOS
- window the PC will either lockup or pause for a long time just after the
- shim is loaded (and if it just pauses, when Trumpet does come up it doesn't
- work).
-
- Any idea why Trumpet with the shim still doesn't work with FTP Software's
- software even when their software is supposed to be happier in Windows with
- version 2.11?
