- Does anyone have a version of BIND which works under SCO TCP/IP (Streams
- TCP/IP by Lachman). I'm wondering what version of BIND comes with that
- package or is it even BIND which they distribute with System V type TCP
- IP implementations.
-
- The nameserver program is called named under both System V and BSD, but
- I'm not sure if they are the same. The problem with the System V version
- is that it cannot handle reverse (in-addr.arpa) stuff correctly. nslookup
- always responds with a
- cannot find x.y.z.i-addr.arpa: unspecified error.
-
- Also, System V named will not zone-xfer glue records to secondary servers.
- All in all, quite a buggy implementation, both under SCO Xenix TCP/IP and
- ISC UNIX 3.2.
