- Perhaps you are referring to the DEC protocol "LAT", used in terminal
- servers, Pathworks, etc.? It stands for Local Area Transport, a
- nonroutable protocol most often used to provide terminal services across
- Ethernet. It's implemented in lots of DEC gear and is licensed to many
- others.
