  13. For political reasons, I can't be the primary nameserver for my own
  14. group of machines.  I have a secondary nameserver set up so my machines
  15. don't have to go off to hell and backto get nameservice.  (This machine
  16. is listed first in the clients' resolv.conf files.)

  18. I'd like to distribute things like /etc/passwd, /etc/group, and whatnot
  19. through Hesiod.  (It ships with the DECs -- supposedly this makes life
  20. easy.)  However, I have no control over my primary name server.  I *do*
  21. however have maximum control over my secondary which all my clients point
  22. to first.

  24. With this configuration, is it possible to run my secondary name server
  25. as a primary Hesiod server?  If so, how?  I've never run Hesiod before
  26. and if this is some sort of FAQ or misposted, my apologies to all concerned
  27. in advance.  Thanks!
