- The IETF Host Resources MIB Working Group is in the final stages of
- writing such a MIB that defines system independent objects for hosts.
- In particular, it will handle the things you mentioned. The Internet
- Draft is available through anonyous FTP to nnsc.nsf.net in the directory
- internet-drafts/draft-ietf-hostmib-resources-00.txt. The latest working
- draft is on lancaster.andrew.cmu.edu in pub/hostmib/hostmib.txt.

- There are none yet that I know about. I expect that there will be
- commercial products for the PC, Mac, and Unix that implement this MIB.
- Since the MIB is pretty simple, I would also expect that a freely
- available Unix agent would come along as well.
