  15. I have waited for about a week and have not seen any posting related this 
  16. question, so I guess it should be OK for me to ask it now ??

  18. I have a PC at home, usually I use the modem to dial-in to a terminal server,
  19. the server will prompt for a machine name, after I enter my machine name, 
  20. the server then login to the machine for me.

  22. my question is this,
  23. is it possible after I log-in to my machine (SUN Sparc 4.1.1), start some
  24. program, push the ppp line discipline (or whatever needs to be done), and 
  25. starts a PPP connection with my PC ??

  27. I think our terminal server probably supports PPP connetion too, but if I can
  28. start the PPP connection on my own machine, I can have more control over the
  29. PPP connection, and I can also learn the PPP protocol better.
