- hi,
-
- I have waited for about a week and have not seen any posting related this
- question, so I guess it should be OK for me to ask it now ??
-
- I have a PC at home, usually I use the modem to dial-in to a terminal server,
- the server will prompt for a machine name, after I enter my machine name,
- the server then login to the machine for me.
-
- my question is this,
- is it possible after I log-in to my machine (SUN Sparc 4.1.1), start some
- program, push the ppp line discipline (or whatever needs to be done), and
- starts a PPP connection with my PC ??
-
- I think our terminal server probably supports PPP connetion too, but if I can
- start the PPP connection on my own machine, I can have more control over the
- PPP connection, and I can also learn the PPP protocol better.
-
- any information or pointer is greatly appreciated.
