- We have an EXB8200 tape unit attached to a server workstation.
- For some reason, the RPUT job doesn't seem to like the EXB tape
- drive. After I start up RPUT, a few files go off to tape, but then
- I get a message LL011F: Write failed. The manual says the tape
- drive is write protected or otherwise unavailable. (That's what
- that message is supposed to mean). However, if I use the PC version
- of TAR to do the backup, I can write to the tape just fine.
-
- Do I need to do something weird with some options to make RPUT work
- with the EXB 8200 drive? (The funny part is, RGET and RLIST work
- just fine).
-
- Thanks,
-
