- Help!
-
-
- I would like to share common data files under MS Windows with other users
- using PC-NFS network. It seems to me that UNIX lockd could support this.
- Our server machine is Sun so I had to patch SunOS kernel so that locking
- would work (if I've had another UNIX I haven't had to do this :-).
-
- What should I do now to get locking effective? I do have lockd, statd and
- pcnfsd running. I have mounted server directory with "must share".
-
- Should my Windows programs eg. Windows Write use locking now (it doesn't
- seem to work :-( Should I also run DOS SHARE? What about other Windows
- software like Excel or Ami Pro? Or should I obtain network versions of
- these programs to get these working?

- HELP I'm lost!
