  16. I would like to share common data files under MS Windows with other users
  17. using PC-NFS network.  It seems to me that UNIX lockd could support this.
  18. Our server machine is Sun so I had to patch SunOS kernel so that locking
  19. would work (if I've had another UNIX I haven't had to do this :-).

  21. What should I do now to get locking effective?  I do have lockd, statd and
  22. pcnfsd running.  I have mounted server directory with "must share".

  24. Should my Windows programs eg. Windows Write use locking now (it doesn't
  25. seem to work :-(  Should I also run DOS SHARE?  What about other Windows
  26. software like Excel or Ami Pro?  Or should I obtain network versions of 
  27. these programs to get these working?
