  12. I would also be interested in any type of caching program that would speed up
  13. NFS performance.  We use PCNFS on our networks and also find that the
  14. performance doesn't compare well to other protocol such as Novell.

  16. Wouldn't it be possible to cache stuff to your local hard drive as long as the
  17. files you're opening are locked?  That would certainly improve performance.

  19. Does anyone know of a DFS implementation for a PC?  I understand it caches a
  20. lot of the data to your local hard disk.  This would certainly provide
  21. excellent performance.
