  12. We have installed Cap6.0 on our SGI Iris workstation to use
  13. it as a File and Printer server. The first feature works except when we use
  14. the Yellow Pages with an alternate passwd file. In fact, with NIS service,
  15. we need two passwd files (/etc/passwd and /etc/passwd.nis), the first
  16. containing the system administration passwds and the second one, the 
  17. users passwds.
  18. How can we specify the second passwd files to be taken into account by
  19. aufs?

  21. The main problem is making lwsrv work. The LaserWriter is connected to the 
  22. Iris workstation, and we use lpr as a spooler. When we try to print files 
  23. from the Mac (running System 7), the starting job status appears in the 
  24. PrintMonitor window as if the files were sent to the LaserWriter. 
  25. Unfortunately, the LW doesn't seem to receive anything. However, the test 
  26. programs like atlooklw or tlw seem to recognize the printer. lwsrv is 
  27. started by

  29. "${CAP}/lwsrv -n "LW_IRIS" -p  "lp" -N ${LWARGS} with LWARGS="-a
  30. ${LIB}/procset
  31.  -f ${LIB}/LWFonts".

  33. We have copied the LWFonts file from the applications/lwsrv directory. We
  34. have 
  35. created a procset directory in which we have put an Appledict file (even 
  36. though we are not sure this is necessary under System 7). This 
  37. file contains the lines from BeginProcSet and EndProcSet lines included 
  38. obtained from a Poscript file written by our Mac. Is it correct ? Any 
  39. solution to our problem ? Our Cap version is level 126.
