- I note that what DEC is licensing is not in fact a patent:

- A patent application is quite different from a patent. In the U.S. at
- least, the Patent Office treats applications as confidential. Has DEC
- published the contents of this application?

- As has been noted many times before, there is no guarantee which if
- any of DEC's claims the Patent Office will allow. Will DEC give you
- your money back if the patent is denied?

- I don't understand why anyone would pay to license a patent that hasn't
- been granted.
