  19. Thanks to all who replied - the package i'm looking for is "vmsbackup", 
  20. available from your local friendly ftp server - eg

  24. Several people said they had modified versions of this , which could cope with 
  25. little-endian byte orderings etc....

  27. I also got a call from a company called "Essential Computing", who offered
  28. to sell me a product to read VMS tapes under Unix - they seemed rather 
  29. surprised when I told them that there was public domain code to do this, and
  30. wanted to know where I got it from :-)
