  22. I asked that question because I didn't want to spend money on
  23. something that wouldn't work, but when I was offered an old monitor
  24. and mono graphics card from the office for free, I went ahead and
  25. tried it.

  27. The results are that OS/2 would not boot while the monochrome card was
  28. installed.  It appeared to be working, but instead of clearing the
  29. screen to gray and presenting the desktop, some color bars were drawn
  30. on top of the logo, and shortly thereafter the machine locked, and
  31. C-A-D wouldn't restart it.
