- One option to consider is IBM's TCP/IP networking package. If you
- buy the TCP/IP Base and the NFS addon, you'd be able to share files
- and printers over Ethernet. As far as boards go, the IBM package
- supports a pretty wide range of boards (in fact, any board for which
- an NDIS driver exists). They supply NDIS drivers for the following
- boards:
- IBM PC Network II and Baseband Adapters
- IBM PC Network II/A and Baseband/A Adapters
- IBM PS/2 Adapter for Ethernet Networks
- IBM Token-Ring Network Adapters
- IBM Token-Ring Busmaster Server Adapter
- Ungermann-Bass NIUpc Adapters
- Ungermann-Bass NIUps Adapters
- Western Digital EtherCard PLUS AT Adapters
- Western Digital EtherCard PLUS Microchannel Adapters
- 3Com 3C503 EtherLink II Adapter
- 3Com 3C503 EtherLink/MC Adapter
-
- The manufacturer of other boards may supply an NDIS driver.
-
- We quite happily use the very cheap and ubiquitous 3Com 3C503 cards.
-
- For more details on pricing and installing this software, see the
- article entitled "Guide to getting started with OS/2 networking using
- IBM's TCP/IP software", or fetch the file from:
