- Do the following :
-
- 1. Get yourself LM 2.1a(must be 2.1a)
- 2. Install it on OS2 1.3 as server
- 3. detach it
- 4. Upgrade 1.3 to 2.0
- 5. Reinstall LM 2.1a, this time it will know that it is run under 2.0 and
- will only install as workstation. This is perfectly OK. Just remember
- to put it under a seperate directory.
- 6. Copy NETPROG directory over from the 2.0 workstation tree to the 1.3
- LM tree
-
- 7. Modify your config.sys to point everything about LM to the directories
- of the 1.3 server
-
- 8. Remember to disable HPFS386 and replace it with 2.0's HPFS.
-
- Now you get LM 2.1a running under 2.0 as server and it works great. The only
- drawback so far is you cannot have local security(because of HPFS386).
