- Lines: 20
-
- I've just installed a Shiva NetModem/E on my company's NetWare 3.11
- NetWork. I've been successful at setting up a dialin session, but
- am having problems with dialout (only once in about 20 attempts did
- any of my communication packages seem to find the NetModem). It should
- go without saying that the workstations are running OS/2 2.0.
-
- I have not completely RTFM, and frankly am hoping that anyone who has
- Shive/OS-2 experience will be able to give me some OS/2 specific information
- (the Shiva manuals do not even acknowledge OS/2.)
-
- FYI I am using a variety of OLD communications packages such as PROCOMM 2.4.3
- and YTERM 1.4 and QMODEM. Perhaps they do not support INT14 or NASI
- redirection.
-
- One fly in this ointment is that YTERM 1.4, the most unsophisticated of the
- packages, *did* find the NetModem one time and actually seemed to talk to it
- momentarily. However, it was never successful at dialing and the DOS window
- hung up.
