- All the Adaptec drivers will handle drives with more than 1024
- cylinders. OS/2 2.0 is currently limited to booting from drives with
- less than 1025 cylinders. If you are trying to install OS/2 2.0 on
- such a drive and it has not been partitioned you need to modify a
- COPY of disk#1 and load our driver instead of the generic Int 13
- driver. This will allow you to see the whole drive when you run
- FDISK. Anyway this does not seem to fit your problem so I suggest
- that you just install our driver and run FDISK.
-
- Adaptec does have new BIOS and firmware to support extended BIOS translation
- and allow MS-DOS to handle drives that are larger than 1 GB. You should
- get this upgrade if you plan to use DOS on the drive or wish to boot
- from
- a single partition under OS/2 2.0.
