- In an article kskapin@csws3.ic.sunysb.edu (Keith Skapinski) writes:

- You're right Microsoft would've sneaked the upgrade by him!! I've got
- Word for Windows 2.0 and there have been 2 minor, free upgrades which
- I have heard word ZERO about from MS! And, I read in PC Week that
- there is to be a third soon. Of course we just moved so even in the
- UNLIKELY event that they tried to notify me I wouldn't hear about it.
- How could a company be worse? I could probably get the upgrades IF I
- called their TOLL number, yet another point in favor of IBM's toll
- free number!
- Anyway, I'm not defending IBM, from what I read of your
- brother's situation IBM was wrong, but at least they realized their
- mistake and came through in the end. I honestly don't expect to hear
- word ONE from MS 'til they want another $129 from me for a full-blown
- upgrade!
-
- Well, I've degraded the article to an advocacy issue so please note
- and use the FollowUp-To line when/if replying to this article!
