- The CSD AND HI-RES VIDEO DRIVERS seem to have created some problems for
- EZTape/PM 3.1. I called Irwin (Maynard) and they are aware of the problem
- but have no projected date for a fix - they don't even know what is
- causing them.
-
- For me, I am now having problems with "uncompress buffer overflow" and,
- sometimes, a failure for EZTape to even startup - it puts up the OS/2
- error screen and asks if I want to end the program or get a register
- dump. The register dump points to an EZTape .dll file (I don't remember
- the name right now) and reports an access violation.
-
- I have had these problems with BOTH the GA+CSD+hi-res drivers and the 11/92
- PDK beta. Removing the hi-res drivers SEEMS to cure the problems. However,
- it is difficult to run enough tests to make sure that the problem is
- really gone (I have been testing by trying to restore a 34MB DOS partition
- and that takes about 12 minutes). In any case, I am usually never able
- to complete a restore if the hi-res (Trident, I should mention) drivers
- are loaded. I am aware of others who are also having this problem.
-
- Any suggestions?
