- I just installed the Creative Labs Soundblaster driver package MMPM/2 drivers
- here and it seems to work fine playing midi files. I say "seems" since I
- don't actually have a midi device attached so I can't hear it play, but the
- applet opens the midi device without error and appears to pump data its way.
- (at one point I had the card configuration screwed up and the applect refused
- to open the midi device. Since it doesn't complain _now_, I'm assuming the
- midi port is being recognized correctly).

- actually gettings notes out.
