- On the PC the standard UARTs which work correctly are the 8250, the
- 16450, and the 16550 series. All are available from National
- Semiconductor. Don't use the 8250 -- there's no price advantage, and
- it sometimes reacts badly to fast bus designs. Get at least a 16450.
- Should be under $10 ea. easily -- closer to $5 (quantity one).
