- A friend of mine had the same problem. He went back to the shop he got the
- 9-chip simms from and simply swapped them for some 3-chip simms (I knew the
- vendor needed the 9-chippers for the 486-50's because the 3-chippers cause
- lock-ups in the fast PC's).

- His TRAP problems disappeared completely as soon as he made his RAM uniform.
- It is a basic rule that mixing RAM is something you try and get away
- with.....not recommended practice.

- Mixing RAM has always been a no-no. The consequences may be unacceptable to
- you.....but the solution is pretty clear. BTW.....now is the time to re-sell
- your 4 meg of odd RAM (whichever 4 you choose) because the US duty fight with
- the Koreans has pushed the price of RAM up a bit.....you should be able to
- recover most of the cost of the 4 new Megs.
