- Hello Net,
- I heard about the great new Trident drivers so I rushed to my
- place of employment and grabbed a New 1 Meg trident card off the shelf
- With the owners permission of course. Ran home and replaced the old VGA
- card in my system ( I was waiting for the back ordered ULtra Plus') installed
- the driver twice (I goofed something the first time) and they worked.
- My monitor is a NEC 4FG and it looked like it was running in 1024x768x256
- interlaced. So I resorted to the Card manual AHH a jumper so I removed the
- jumper per the instructions and Started everything up again and everything
- stayed the same (an interlaced flicker like look).
- I tried the 800x600x256 the monitor picked up the change but it still
- looked interlaced. last I tried the 640x480x256 and this seemed non-interlaced
-
- Does anyone have any idea how to make this flicker go away?
- I hope this is not the monitor I spent big bucks not to have problems like
- this.
- Could there be a problem with my card?
-
- Second note DeScribe 32 (The store I work at is waiting for some info from
- DeScribe to become an authorized vendor then I will upgrade) works fine
- in 1024x768 but it grows off the screen in the other two modes(800&640)
- Has anyone had similar problems?
-
- These drivers seem pretty fast.
- I am happy and I may cancle my ultra order until ATI writes drivers.
- If I could only figure out this flicker problem?
- Thanks for reading.
- Boyd.
- I give trident 2 thumbs up!!!!!!
