- So I've been reading news and I see two schools of thought emerging:
-
- o The Trident 32 bit drivers are fast
- o The Trident 32 bit drivers are slow
-
- The linchpin, I believe, is that set of Joel's svga generic drivers. Some
- people seem to have been using them and others appear to have been
- using the old Trident 16 bit drivers.
-
- What I have noticed is that anyone using the old Trident drivers appears
- to be reporting a speed increase. Yet anyone using the generic drivers
- sees a speed _decrease_.
-
- As I am using the generic drivers (Thanks, by the way, for those) and have
- not yet tried putting on the 32 bit drivers, I'm curious to know
- if it is worth it.
-
- Anyone have any ideas on this?
