- Hi netters,
- I hope someone can help me. when i try to do chkdsk on my c: from within
- the wps i get a message that a file system error has been detected, and then
- chkdsk stops. so if i boot from floppies and run chkdsk c: from the a: prompt
- i get the following message

- the type of file system for the disk is HPFS
- the HPFS file system program has been started
- SYS0552: the system found file system errors on the
- disk specified
- CHKDSK corrected an allocation error for the file \os2\system\swapper.dat
- CHKDSK corrected an allocation error for the file \os2\system\swapper.dat
- CHKDSK is searching for lost data
- SYS0562: the system detected lost data on disk
- CHKDSK has searched 100% of the disk

- regardless of how many times i run chkdsk i get the same error.
- os2 is in a 50 meg partition of it's own. my system is a 486-33dx with
- 8 meg of ram.
