- With the Service Pack installed, I get a lot of trap errors, around 8-10,
- sometimes more, per day. People at IBM NSC BBS have put the blame on my mix
- of 4 3-chip 1mb simms, and 4 9-chip 1mb simms. This is UNACCEPTABLE,
- considering that with GA + separately downloaded fixes, I have not had ANY
- trap errors. My question is, will this be fixed by the next release coming
- soon? Or am I the only one having this problem? I would like to start using
- the Trident 32bit drivers but the Service Pack's numerous trap errors
- discourage me from leaving GA again. It seems in fixing some problems, the
- Service Pack has put more serious problems in their place.
-
- I do not want to waste money by buying new simms just because the SP is being
- picky. I can hardly sell off my old simms, considering that 1mb simms are too
- low-priced for me to be able to set a reasonable price for my used ones. I do
- plan to go to 16mb memory, but that is a LONG way off, and besides that, I'd
- rather spend that money on a CD-ROM drive.
