- The purpose is to develop applications that run under both (cross platform).
- The goal of the "hostile system" check is to enlist developers as footsolders
- in the os war undergoing, but that is another story.
- For interesting precedent for this nonsense, see the book "psychology of
- programming" which tells of one programmer reaching out of his assigned
- module to disable a rival's. Truly silly.
