- Defining folders as work-areas seems to be a good way of giving yourself
- more work, or at least make you work longer with what you're doing. I've
- defined a folder as a work area, containing shadows to 3 disk
- directories (described in my article about WPS inefficiency). Opening
- the work area is neat and makes you think it's a breeze. Closing it,
- however, usually ends with one of the following scenarios (in order of
- frequency):
-
- 1. The folder brings all of WPS with it, as it collapses. WPS restarts
- again in a short time, and once again brings up the work area.
- 2. It seems like it works, but a following shutdown of OS/2 never
- finishes. (tried waiting no less than 6 hours once)
- 3. WPS freezes. Can C-A-D out of it, but nothing else (that I know of)
- 4. The system freezes with a register dump (happened once only)
-
- Sometimes it even works, though, but that's quite unsual.
-
- I like the idea of work areas (why else would I have defined one) but
- I think it'd be pretty slick if it worked. Anyone else experiencing such
- things? Any known medicine?
