- You did not mention the CD-ROM drive you were using, but here goes.
- Some CD-ROM drives (i.e. NEC) do NOT reject synchronous negotiation
- even though they do not use it. This causes garbled data to be returned
- when the SCSI bus is scanned. I suggest you try disabling synchronous
- negotiation on the target assigned to your CD-ROM drive.
