- Many people have had the annoying experience of having the desktop rearranged
- to their dissatisfaction (e.g., via the 'Arrange' option of the desktop menu).
- I found that the thread-killing programs, such as PStat PM2 and KillEm, work
- well in restoring the desktops. Simply, kill the PMshell thread. The WPS
- will be killed, then come back up with the same desktop arrangement as at
- boot.

- This method is much faster than rebooting, and other processes are not
- disturbed by the kill.
