- The reason it does not have the same problems is that it is a windows program.
- Windows programs directly reprogram the pallete. A similar program exists,
- "viewgif" that was written for 1.x os/2 (which lacked 256 color support).
- It also works, and also directly programs the pallete.
- The bug (apparently existing on all but XGA adapters) is that the os/2 API
- method for programming the pallete doesn't work.
