  10. Hey now,

  12. Before my run in with the SP, I TARred my stuff to preverve the long
  13. filenames and then backed it up onto floppies.  Anyway, originally my
  14. stuff was on drive F: (I had a zillion partions) and now I have only one
  15. partition.  Unfortunately, I can't get TAR to expand the files to the C:
  16. drive in an OS/2 shell.  I was able to open a DOS window and then use
  17. SUBST F: C:\ and then use TAR but things came out all messed up.  None
  18. of my gnu and emx stuff will run (my most important programs) as well as
  19. some of my programs now crash the entire system (OS/2 is crash proof -
  20. sarcasm).

  22. Some one please help before I have to spend hours reinstalling software
  23. as well as trying to recover some data files that were lost.
