- Hey now,
-
- Before my run in with the SP, I TARred my stuff to preverve the long
- filenames and then backed it up onto floppies. Anyway, originally my
- stuff was on drive F: (I had a zillion partions) and now I have only one
- partition. Unfortunately, I can't get TAR to expand the files to the C:
- drive in an OS/2 shell. I was able to open a DOS window and then use
- SUBST F: C:\ and then use TAR but things came out all messed up. None
- of my gnu and emx stuff will run (my most important programs) as well as
- some of my programs now crash the entire system (OS/2 is crash proof -
- sarcasm).
-
- Some one please help before I have to spend hours reinstalling software
- as well as trying to recover some data files that were lost.
- Later...
