- Hi Gang,
- I just wanted to know if anybody else has seen this behavior.
-
- 1) I can call up the Command Reference but when I try to access a command
- I get an error message, where the WPS restarts itself. Then NONE of the
- windows, message boxes, or dialog boxes render properly. This condition
- gets worse with every attempt to do anything such that the system is
- COMPLETLY HUNG in about 30 seconds. ONLY POWER CYCLING BRINGS IT BACK!
-
- 2) Any attempt to use the Scheme Editor produces similar problems.
-
- I went back to standard VGA after having to chkdsk /f:3 on both my hpfs
- partitions THREE TIMES EACH, and reinstalling the SP. Otherwise the system
- would not finish booting, it stuck at the flashing curser after the os2 logo.
- And yes I did make the suggested backups when I installed the drivers and
- copied the files back to their appropriate directories when I tried to restore
- standard VGA. Also the colors were, shall we say, less than correct.
-
- I did otherwise like the drivers.
-
- By the way my system is as follows
-
- 486/33 64K cache
- Two 120 MB Maxtor IDE Drives
- Master: C partition Primay, FAT, 80 MB
- E partition Logical OS/2 boot area, HPFS, 40 MB
- Slave: D partition OS/2 data and Swapfile, HPFS, 120 MB
- 16 MB ram
- Trident 8900C SVGA (obviously)
-
- Unless someone tells me something to the contrary I'm going to assume these
- are still bugs in the beta code and give trident a buzz.
-
- Good day to you all,
-
