- Dear Netters,
- I recently purchased Brief 3.1 for OS/2. I found it overall to be a good
- product, although i have tested the sophisticated commands/macros only
- in DOS mode.
- In the OS/2 version, I found what I believe is an awful bug. Try entering
- a file with:
- *****************
- abcdef
- abcdef
- abcdef
- abcdef
- abcdef
- abcdef
- ****************
- and type:
- <Alt-T>
- a{?}
- \0a
- You would expect this to replace ab's by ba's, wouldn't you ?
- Well, it works in the DOS version, but not the OS/2 version.
- Could somebody please confirm?
- I tried sending a mail to customer-support@borland.com, but they
- refused assistance, saying I should connect to compuserve. And I was
- dumb enough to read their ad saying they're 'famous for their support...'
- That's Larry Bartholdi speaking to you, from Geneva, Switzerland.
- thank you for your attention.
