-
- i couldn't get the speed bar to work running seamlessly before SP. after
- SP it worked fine seamlessly. however, i have a fairly serious problem
- now that if i minimize ami pro when running seamlessly i can't get it to
- back again as while the cursor changes to the right shape etc for a winos
- window, actual window doesn't display! i can reminimize it again by "clicking"
- where the minimize button ought to be! hence i still run full screen
- - the speed bar has always work full screen.
-
- i've mentioned a couple of other problems i've had here which i seem
- to have fixed now.
-
- 1) grammar checker ... my ami pro (US edition) came with two spelling
- modes (american and british) so i set language to british. ami uses this
- setting to select the grammar checker but i only got an "american" version
- so it couldn't find it.
-
- the solution for me was to rename LOTUSAC1.GCS to LOTUSBR1.GCS and it seems
- ok now.
-
- 2) chgfont macro couldn't find fontdll.exe - this had worked before i
- reinstalled everything to do the SP. from a message someone sent me i
- found that fontdll.exe was in amipro/macros. having played around with
- the chgfont macro i found that it just plain refused to find the file
- in that directory (i even hardwired the exact file name into the
- variable it sent to the findfirst$ macro) but if i moved the file into
- the enclosing directory and adjusted the macro appropriately it worked
- fine.
-
- anyone got a clue what's up here???
-
- 3) i reported general flakiness after apply SP ... this turned out to be
- due to lack of swap space ... in the SP upgrade (which included FAT->HPFS and
- OS/2 reinstall) several of the factors had changed and i'd ended up with
- a maximum of 5MB swap rather than the 10Mb that i'd had before. having
- taken action to fix this things seem stable again!
