  24.     Advocacy groups are inherently looking to find the slightest
  25.     error--even if it is obviously a typo (see the thread--
  26.     *thread*--that started because some bozo misread a sentence
  27.     "MS Windows (Apps)" vs. "MS (Windows apps)"..)

  44.     OS/2 users are no brighter than any other crowd.  If OS/2 users
  45.     make purchases that are to the detriment of OS/2 (i.e. accepting
  46.     and purchasing out of date (WP, Corel), poorly written (Corel,
  47.     all MS OS/2 apps, anything that uses Mirrors) and overpriced
  48.     (I don't even want to talk about some of the prices that OS/2 
  49.     had back in the 1.x days) merely encourages companies to let
  50.     their product atrophy (WP) or cease development (Corel).)

  52.     As an Os/2 user, it is blatantly obvious to me that the ONLY 
  53.     way OS/2 will succeed is if 1)OS/2 users *buy* OS/2 apps
  54.     and 2) request OS/2 versions (which I do bi-monthly, calling
  55.     every Windows app company that I use, calling all of the
  56.     hardware manufacturers I own peripherals from--along with
  57.     faxes when I think they're not listening)--but they MUST
  58.     balance this against giving companies (like WP) the idea that
  59.     they can market shit (WP5.0) and sell it at full price to the
  60.     moronic OS/2 users who are buying it for brand loyalty.
