  10. Big problem with com-port in win31!

  12. I tried to install a third com-port on my system
  13. that uses io-base 02E8 (com4) and IRQ2. My IO-Card
  14. supports this IRQ, so I had no problem to install it.

  16. So I run know com1 and com2 with default settings and
  17. an com4 with 02E8 and IRQ 2. I had no problems accessing
  18. this com4 with Laplink pro and telix. Both programs work
  19. perfectly with this com4 port. But in Windows 3.1 the
  20. System crashes very heavily when I try to access it either
  21. with Crosstalk for windows or terminal. I mad the settings
  22. in the controlpanel for 02E8 and irq 2 and I also tried
  23. once IRQ 9 but no chance. As soon as I connect to the port
  24. and try to send or receive any data pressed to my or the other
  25. computer's keyboard, the system crashes. Sometimes silent sometimes
  26. with a lot of beep's. I can only reboot.
