- I finally got my copy of NT installed late last night. I had
- only a few problems. Here goes netters:
-
- 1. My installation could not find the file "netevent.dll"
- I searched the CD and couldnt find it anywhere. This
- is no biggie if its only needed for networks
-
- 2. The logitech mouse refuses to work. Should I select
- the Microsoft Mouse driver when using the Logitech?
- (The mouse just hangs about in the upper left and jumps
- around when you move it)
-
- 3. The S3 drivers only work in 640x480x256. Any way to get
- the 800x600 ones going?
-
- 4. When I try to choose to install "Other Manufacturers..."
- from the setup, It always returns "Cannot find path.."
- and something about OEM something (sorry I didnt get
- that one written down)
-
- Other than this, everything went pretty smooth.
-
- I Am using a 486DX-50, SIS Chipset, AMI Bios, Diamond Stealth HiColor,
- Logitech mouse in Com 1, Modem in Com 2, Nothing in any LPT: ports...
-
- Thanks for any info!
- Tim
-
- PS - I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a win32 programmers
- group AND a win32.install or win32.general or some other type of
- newsgroup that is pointer more towards install and general questions.
- Any comments?
